Suncoast Community Health Centers Inc. is hiring: Dental Assistant Mobile/Portab

POSITION TITLE: DENTAL ASSITANT MOBILE/PORTABLE

FLSA: NON EXEMPT

Under the direct supervision of the Mobile Dental Program Manager, incumbent is responsible for assisting the provider on the coach or portable.

This is not an age specific position. Incumbent interacts primarily with all age groups.

You Will Need:

1. High School Diploma/GED.
2. Graduate of an approved dental assisting program with expanded duty functions.
3. Minimum of 3 year experience
4. Self-motivated, goal oriented with leadership potential
5. Team player
6. Able to work in harmony with other dental staff.
7. Valid driver's license, ability to drive day and night and ability go get to and from work without a set schedule are required
8. Ability to lift 40 lbs.
9. CPR required (provided by SCHC within 6 months of hire
10. Bilingual Engilsh/Spanish Preferred

Job Responsibilities:

1. Report daily at the appropriate site and time.
2. Provide dental assisting in mobile and portable settings following set procedures and protocol.
3. Cleaning and sterilization of dental instruments.
4. Greet and comfort patients, prepare patients for treatment, provide all oral health instructions and ensure a positive dental experience for all patients.
5. Document patient treatment at chairside.
6. Participate in community based oral hygiene classes
7. Attend on/off site training
8. Billing/Front office assistance duties
9. Maintain strict adherence to all OSHA infection control guidelines.
10. Other duties as assigned.
