The Facility Manager II is a key point of contact responsible for managing, supervising, and coordinating both internal and external services to ensure a safe and productive environment for patients, guests, and employees. This role involves providing leadership, coordination, and support to designated project teams and ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with program objectives and governmental regulations. Additionally, the Facility Manager II acts as a liaison between clients, users, and other project participants, including consultants, contractors, vendors, and outside agencies. Responsibilities Manage, coordinate, and liaise facility services including parking, security, cleaning, landscaping, building system & equipment maintenance, fire life safety, and emergency response. Maintain customer relationships through proactive interactions and regular site visits. Ensure a healthy, safe work environment through education, training, and visibility of unsafe practices. Oversee financial management of cost centers, seeking ways to improve cost efficiencies and managing purchased services. Conduct regular site inspections for condition, safety, and aesthetics, and manage emergency events. Develop policies, guidelines, and standards, and represent the department on committees and professional organizations. Implement quality control measures to ensure project compliance with policies, codes, and regulations. Assess and document project scope and program, including functional needs and external criteria for health and safety. Manage the review and approval process for design work and project budgets. Maintain accurate project records and cost estimates, ensuring appropriate approvals for alterations and tenant improvements. Oversee lease administration and manage the relationship with property managers. Manage the process of furnishing and equipment selection, purchasing, and installation. Work with internal teams to ensure compliance with Fire Life Safety regulations. Oversee project management for cosmetic upgrades and coordinate facilities requests. Manage the selection process and contract negotiations for consultants, contractors, and vendors. Complete ICRA/PCRA documentation as per policy. Participate in the FS&P On Call System and advance staff development through on-the-job training. Be available on-call during non-standard hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, to meet business needs and respond to emergencies. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree. 4-5 years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience. Ability to apply judgment and make informed decisions. Ability to conduct analysis and formulate conclusions. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to foster effective working relationships and build consensus. Ability to plan, organize, and manage building operational services. Knowledge of building maintenance regulations, procedures, or technical reference materials. Additional Skills & Qualifications Professional designations through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI), International Facility Management Association (IFMA), or Commercial Real Estate Certification Institute (CRECI).
