Assists in providing a system which will deliver services efficiently, effectively, and safely with care and compassion.Qualifications: Required:High school diploma or passage of a high school equivalency exam.Graduate of an approved American Dental Association (ADA) Certified Dental Assisting school.2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.Successful completion of one of the following certification exams approved by the Ohio State Dental Board:•Dental Assisting National Board (DANB)•American Medical Technologists (AMT-RDA)•Ohio State Dental Board Exam (OSDB)Possess one of the following:•Coronal Polishing Certification •Monitoring of nitrous oxide-oxygen (N2O-O2) minimal sedation course •Pit and fissure sealants course certificate •Dental Anesthesia Assistant Certification ExamPossess current Ohio Dental Assistant Radiographer license. Possess BLS Certification from the AHA.Willing to work according to the job assigned and overtime requirements (i.e. days, evenings, weekends, and in-home care service/outpatient dental clinics in the MetroHealth System).Access to reliable transportation to all satellite locations or home care facilities as needed.Ability to interact effectively with a wide range of cultural, ethnic, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds.Preferred:3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant.
