Summary
BRIDGE Housing is growing in Berkeley, CA! We are expanding our portfolio which means we are adding team members!
The Janitor at Viewpoint Apartments (94 units) is responsible for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks associated with cleaning and repair of the overall property and individual resident units. Maintenance staff are expected to maintain BRIDGE Property Management Company’s high standards in order to present the property in outstanding condition and to provide residents with a safe, secure and well-maintained living environment.
Responsibilities
- Clean designated internal and external building areas, including common areas and vacant units
- Complete daily, weekly, and monthly tasks according to property-specific task list
- Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
- Notify management of deficiencies or needs for repairs
- Make adjustments and minor repairs
- Stock and maintain supply rooms
- Follow all health and safety regulations
- Work with maintenance supervisor and/or outside vendors to fulfill work orders
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of prior experience in janitor work, preferably in an apartment or residential setting
- Ability to work with and around people in a positive and cooperative manner
- Knowledge of and demonstrated skills in handling cleaning and maintenance equipment
