Hunter Truck is hiring! We are currently looking for a Janitor to join our energetic and committed team members at our Scranton, PA location. The office janitor will be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean working environment for all dealership employees and customers.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company insurability standards

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Empty trash in offices, outside, and warehouse on a daily basis.
  • Empty outside cigarette receptacles on a daily basis
  • Walk and clean the parking lot and all surroundings on a daily basis.
  • Clean showroom on a daily basis.
  • Break down cardboard and help remove trash from warehouse on a daily basis.
  • Clean restrooms (completely) on a daily basis.
  • Sweep stairways and landings on a daily basis.
  • Clean around sofa, vending, and coffee area on a daily basis.
  • Clean front door entryway area (inside and out) on a daily basis.
  • Wipe counters on a daily basis.
  • Clean entry doors eliminating all grease and marks on a daily basis.
  • Clean locker rooms on a daily basis.
  • Spot check high traffic areas for dirt and debris on a daily basis.
  • Clean and tidy drivers lounge area on a daily basis.
  • Remove all debris from lot on a daily basis.
  • Mop linoleum and tile flooring, including steps on a daily basis.
  • Sweep carpets and linoleum on a daily basis.
  • Mop all floors in display area on a daily basis.
  • Dust office surface areas on a daily basis.
  • Sweeps lunchroom floor daily and cleans it as needed.
  • Wash all windows, glass doors and glass panels in front of building weekly.
  • Empties and cleans lunchroom refrigerator on a weekly basis.
  • Perform routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruption of customers or employees.
  • Wax walkway in front of counter as needed.
  • Clean lunchroom tables daily.
  • Wipe and clean all entryway doors, once a month.
  • Strip and wax parts aisles, including buffing as needed.
  • Clean all signs, posters, service signs, mirrors, fans, and vending machines.
  • Maintains hot beverage areas by cleaning counter surfaces and restocking coffee and related supplies as needed.
  • Restock paper supplies in bathroom as needed.
  • Clean driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary.
  • Assist with snow plowing
  • Apply salt to icy areas.
  • Empties and cleans all trash receptacles, inside and outside, once a month.
  • Check and inspect all lighting to verify it is functional. Replace bulbs as needed.
  • Maintain cleaning supplies.
  • Wipe walls in service and sales areas, as needed.
  • Change water filters as required.
  • Understand and comply with OSHA Right-to-Know and other federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Use proper eye, hand, and body protection when using products that require protection.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
