Description:

The Janitor at Mate Precision Technologies is responsible for facility cleaning, housekeeping duties, and routine maintenance tasks related to industrial and production equipment.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Clean and stock paper products in all factory wash basins.
  • Clean and stock paper products in all factory restrooms.
  • Collect all trash and recycling from factory receptacles and dispose appropriately.
  • Maintain the employee lunchroom by cleaning and stocking supplies as needed.
  • Wax tile floors
  • Collect machine waste, and tramp oils, and dispose appropriately.
  • Clean factory floors using brooms, mops, and electric floor scrubbing/waxing machines.
  • Maintain all eye-glass cleaning stations in the factory.
  • Order, stock, and maintain inventory for all janitorial products.
  • Inspect and maintain all eyewash stations throughout the factory.
  • Monitor, collect, and dispose of chip waste from swarf bins, chip containers, and machining work centers throughout the factory.
  • Gather soiled shop rags for laundry.
  • Respond to hazardous and non-hazardous spills in the factory to clean up, store, and/or dispose of materials.
  • Perform various cleaning and facility maintenance tasks both inside and outside of the building.
  • Supports post-accident cleaning and decontamination of Bloodborne Pathogens.
  • Collaborates with others, is open-minded, responsive, and supportive of others’ efforts to succeed.

  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Must know how to read and determine the proper chemicals to be used in the various cleaning operations throughout the building.
  • Must know where to locate and how to read SDS sheets on cleaning products.
  • Ability to work with several powered sweepers and scrubbers.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently drive forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.


Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

  • Frequent walking and standing.
  • Occasional bending and stooping.
  • Use of hand to finger.
  • Lift, move, push, and pull up to 70 pounds.
  • Reach with hands and arms.
  • The noise level is moderate.
  • Occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.

Pay, Work Schedule & Benefits:

  • Hourly Wage: $24.17 - $26.34/Hour
  • Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
