CME CU is looking for you to join our Team as a Branch Manager. Located in Cranston RI, our Branch Manager has the overall responsibility for branch operations and supervision of its team members. This position ensures that the branch delivers exceptional service and adheres to applicable regulatory and operational standards.

Responsibilities

Provides overall management of personnel activities to ensure there is a solid team effort towards the attainment of branch and credit union goals.

Supervises branch staff including the hiring, training, scheduling, motivating, evaluating, retaining, and performance coaching.

Leads the team to performing efficient operational standards and mitigating risk control measures.

Follows prescribed performance coaching processes and performance documentation as set forth by management.

Leads the team to deliver expected service results.

Maintains a functional level of knowledge and procedural expertise in all credit union products and services.

Listens to and reports feedback from members to management to create efficiencies, and to suggest new products and services.

Represents the credit union and provides leadership in key community activities including business, charitable, civic, and social organizations.

Promotes positive collaboration between personnel and departments supported through personal example.

Ensures adherence to policies and procedures and all applicable branch compliance, monitoring, safety, and security standards.

Monitor branch activity, including number of transactions, volume, teller proficiency, loan volume, and new accounts acquisition.

Foster an environment of “friendly competition” amongst branch staff, discussing successes and areas of opportunity to assist in attaining goals.

Conduct loan interviews. Process, approve and/or close loans within stated authority.

Daily Cash Operations

Branch Audits

Assist staff or members in solving complex account problems.

Assure appropriate currency levels are maintained within policy limits for both vault and teller drawers.

Additional tasks and duties may be required within the realm of authority related to this position. May perform Teller and/or Member Service functions as needed.

Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of branch operations and the ability to coordinate the daily functioning of the facility, and to resolve employee and member problems.

Ability to coach, teach and hold staff accountable to behavior and process expectations.

Interpersonal skills necessary to represent the credit union in a professional, friendly, business-like manner.

Ability to train, motivate, and supervise employees, and to maintain an effective schedule of work flow within the branch.

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in interpreting policies and procedures, making exceptions as required.

Strong written and oral communication skills.

Working conditions

All work is conducted in a climate-controlled office environment with exposure to basic office equipment and typical moderate office noise.
