to provide care and support for DC residents at shelters throughout the district.

PRIMARY LOCATIONS
Candidates must originate from the Washington DC area. Job sites will be in Washington DC. Job sites are subject to change or be added based on client needs and continued employment requires you to be able to work on site.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor the physical condition of the facility by conducting walk-throughs each shift-change to ensure a clean, safe and hazard-free environment. Report all maintenance concerns to designated District contacts. Support tracking, storage, and upkeep of facility supplies and resources, in alignment with other Provider responsibilities (e.g., cleaning supplies managed through Janitorial provider). Keep track of inventory and sort clothing in the clothing store on-site. Assist with the movement of facility resources, furniture, and fixtures in a safe and thoughtful manner. Assist with facility signage, pathway management/closures, and availability of basic resources in accordance with Reception and Respite services. Ensure that the person at the facility receiving food services is responsible for the receipt of meals and verification of count and quality of meals. This shall be conducted on a daily basis and maintained as a log in electronic format as a part of the records maintaining system. Ensure that health and sanitation requirements and food certifications are met at all times, which include Serve Safe certification. Ensure all food service employees shall wear hair restraints such as hair coverings or nets, beard restraints, and clothing that cover body hair. Long hair hanging out of hats does not meet this requirement. Ensure single-use; food-service gloves shall be worn when handling ready to eat foods, meal service, and/or meal packaging. Gloves shall be changed during shifts or on an as-needed basis such as when staff takes out trash, cleans, prepares, or serves food. Acquire a signature and the date of delivery on the delivery ticket from the designated staff at the facility to verify that all food, milk, and juice were delivered in accordance with the meal schedule included in the food services plan. Instruct drivers delivering food items to wait at least ten minutes after delivery of the food while the designated facility staff inspects the food items delivered for compliance. If the food does not comply with the requirements of the contract, instruct the drivers to return the food and indicate on the delivery ticket the number of meals that are being returned and the reason the meals are being returned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two years’ experience procuring, organizing, tracking, and distributing goods and services in shelter or hospitality environments. Experience should include preparation of individual packets and reporting on disposition of goods. Ability and willingness to perform light housekeeping and lifting up to 30 pounds. Valid driver’s license required. Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Registration or Certification including Project Management. Fluency in Spanish (bilingual English and Spanish). DC residents will receive priority.
