Position Objective:
Assure cleanliness of all areas of the building including furniture, fixtures, surrounding landscaping and sidewalks. Perform light and heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning and waxing floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, removing rubbish, and cleaning snow and debris from sidewalks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assure cleanliness of premises is maintained including but not limited to floors, bathrooms, common areas, kitchens, private offices, production areas, classrooms, locker rooms, entrances, and walkways outside facility, etc.
- Duties include but are not limited to dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, replacing paper supplies, picking up trash, waxing floors, emptying trash, and other related duties as assigned.
- Responsible for building security including locking doors after hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure hazards are not created.
- Light maintenance such as changing light bulbs or furnace filters and removing snow.
- May use hand or power tools or ladders.
- Job responsibilities may include moving heavy furniture, equipment and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks.
- Job duties may involve setting up, arranging, and removing decorations, tables, chairs, and other equipment.
- Report equipment or supply needs and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Attend training as needed.
- Follow task checklists in an efficient manner.
- Be knowledgeable of mixing of cleaning solutions and use of cleaning solutions, including proper Personal Protective Equipment to wear when using chemicals and location of Safety Data Sheets and how to use them.
- Adhere to safety policies.
- Any other duties as assigned.
