We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated Head Compliance Investigations to use their knowledge and skills to lead a team which reviews and investigates allegations of breach of the Code of Conduct and other internal standards and policies! About the Role The Head of Compliance Investigations is responsible for the strategic direction, development and operational efficiency of the Compliance Investigations team. You will lead a global team of investigators to ensure appropriate and timely case handling of various types of matters across regions including discrimination & harassment. As part of the second line of defense, you will also be responsible for investigations based on assurance findings for Swiss Re, including applicable control and process reviews. Responsibilities include: Leading and performing confidential end to end internal investigations of alleged misconduct in alignment with the Investigation Coordination Process including witness interviews, maintaining case files, and drafting reports of case findings. Collaborating with internal or external counsel, Internal Audit, HR, Compliance and/or Senior Management; including in the drive for a positive and inclusive company culture based on investigation findings. Liaison to HR to drive the disciplinary process in alignment with case conclusions and communicating case conclusions to senior management. Maintaining oversight over the whistleblowing hotline and monitoring updates of whistleblowing regulations and assessing their impact and defining required implementation steps. Managing the anti-retaliation monitoring and investigation process. Promoting an inclusive Speak Up culture. Analyzing and reporting on investigation trends and identifying and assessing opportunities for enhancing the investigations process. Support in assurance and compliance activities such as targeted reviews of compliance risks, internal/external reporting and special projects. Ensuring appropriate and adequate data driven communication with Compliance and group and legal entity boards. About the Team Compliance Assurance is a global team which is responsible for the monitoring of Compliance Risks and leads the Investigation Coordination Process across the Swiss Re Group. The team is the primary liaison with Group Internal Audit (GIA), Operational Risk Management (ORM) and other governance functions and assists in coordination among risk and control functions and Compliance units in relation to Compliance Assurance activities. About You A successful people leader and manager who is self-motivated, independent, proactive, astute, highly organized, and curious! You bring strong communication and analytical skills, ability to run several simultaneous tasks and work effectively with colleagues across regions, functional units and seniority levels. You are detail-oriented, diligent, and optimally manage time while being flexible and adaptable to dynamic, changing work processes and environment. Required skills include: Minimum 7 years of experience leading internal investigations involving Compliance and HR risks, preferably in financial service industry. University or equivalent qualification. Able to maintain confidentiality. Strong verbal and written skills in English. Proficiency in verbal and written Spanish or Portuguese desired. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications such as Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint. Possesses a strong work ethic, objectivity, pragmatism, and integrity. Preferred skills include: Understanding of testing/audit methodologies and techniques, risk management concepts a plus. Legal background a plus. Curiosity about and experience with using data and technology to streamline tasks is desired. For Armonk, NY the estimated base salary range for this position is $220,000 to $342,000. The specific salary offered for this or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget.
