Shift: Full Time

Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Department: Operations

Reports To: Housekeeping Supervisor

Starting Pay: $15.49/hr

Summary: Keeps premises/buildings in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following, other duties may be assigned.

Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas. Sweeps, scrubs, and polishes the floor. Cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Dust furniture and equipment. Polishes stainless steel bathroom/kitchen fixtures. Washes windows, walls, door panels, and sills. Empties and change liner in wastebaskets. Transports trash and waste to disposal area. Replenishes product in dispensers throughout bathrooms, kitchen, break, and office areas. Communicate inventory levels for cleaning supplies and consumable products Delivers clear and concise messages to building personnel as needed. Replaces light bulbs, if applicable. General on-site errands as requested by the organization such as product deliveries, and material pickups, if applicable

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk for long distances; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs or ladder or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear, possibly in a noisy environment. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 50 pounds.

Education and/or Experience:

High school education; or up to six months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
