Summary of Responsibilities:

As a Janitorial Staff member at Harper Industries, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment for both the business offices and Spring Creek meeting facility, located next door to the business. Your responsibilities will include performing routine cleaning tasks, ensuring the premises are presentable, and contributing to the overall well-being of our workplace.

Summary of Duties:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors

• Dusting surfaces and cleaning windows to maintain a tidy appearance

• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in designated areas

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, door handles, and mirrors

• Replenish restroom supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper

• Maintain cleanliness in common areas such as breakrooms, lobby, and offices

• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed

• Clean kitchen(s) at Spring Creek, load dishwasher and safely operate it

• Ensure Spring Creek is clean and presentable for meetings or guests prior to arrival

• Report maintenance issues, damages, or supply shortages to the Office Manager

• Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure a coordinated cleaning schedule

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles

• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques

• Ability to follow safety guidelines and use cleaning equipment safely

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently, with minimal supervision

• Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and prolonged standing

• Good communication skills to interact with team members and other employees as needed

Special Job Dimensions:

• May require working hours outside of normal business hours of 8am – 5pm

• May require repetitive lifting of 20-30 pounds
