Job Description
Summary:
Must be able to drive and operate equipment such as Excavators, Finish Blades, Scrapers, Gannon Tractors, Front-End Loader and Skid Steers.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drive and operate equipment as assigned.
- Responsible for conducting a daily inspection of machine being operated.
- Responsible for the operation of the heavy equipment in accordance with the company's safety procedures.
- Responsible for locating various utilities and other obstructions on-site that could hamper the smooth operation.
- Value and respect a teamwork environment.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to understand and follow instruction from the supervisor.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short notes and memos.
- Excellent attendance required, dependable, trustworthy, strong work ethic, respects authority.
- Follow OSHA Guidelines on Heavy Equipment Operation.
- This is a Safety Sensitive position and requires a drug screen and basic physical
- Valid AZ Driver License and acceptable MVR required
Physical Requirements:
- Must have ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
- May occasionally be required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds in performance of duties.
- Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Two or more year's continual experience.
- Valid Arizona Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test.
