Heavy Equipment Operator/Pile Driver 

Qualifications:

• A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of three years of heavy civil construction experience preferred.
  
• Experience with hydraulic, friction, and pile driving a plus. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promotes, executes and adheres to the company’s safety program.
• Operates multiple pieces of construction equipment used in underground construction, base preparation and construction, and paving including Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Graders, Skid Steers and other pieces of equipment.
• Operates all heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Performs daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Conducts pre-operational checks on equipment, and clean, lubricate and refill the equipment as necessary.
• Maneuvers heavy equipment into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that the vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned.
• Ensures a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
• Uses various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, demolition, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling.
• Operates equipment on public roadways, maintaining proper awareness of ones surroundings.
• Performs routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the equipment.
• Performs other construction duties or task as required based on company’s needs.
