1 Resource Group is currently hiring for a Shop Mechanic with a focus on heavy equipment. As a Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing equipment to ensure they are in proper working condition.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including changing oil, checking fluids, and lubricating parts
  • Diagnosing mechanical issues and performing necessary repairs on diesel and gas engines
  • Inspecting Tool and Rental equipment systems and components to identify any issues or malfunctions
  • Using diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot
  • Repairing or replacing faulty parts and components as needed
  • Performing preventative maintenance on diesel and gas engines to ensure optimal performance and lifespan
  • Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed
  • Adhering to safety protocols and regulations at all times
  • Collaborating with team members and other departments to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Continuously updating knowledge and skills related to diesel vehicle maintenance and repair

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in diagnosing and repairing tools and rental equipment
  • Strong knowledge of forklifts, generators, trailers, handheld tool.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment
  • Ability to interpret repair manuals and technical specifications
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment
