Equipment Operator Job at Exact Stormwater Management in Midlothian

Exact Stormwater Management is a founder led, growing company with an important mission. We protect Virginia's waters by installing erosion control measures, liner and containment solutions, bioretentions and other stormwater management practices. Our work also includes installing pattern pavement and pavement preservation. Headquartered in Midlothian and focused in Virginia, we make an impact throughout the southeast.

Summary

This position is responsible running small earthwork jobs including installation of bioretention facilities, pavers and containment work.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of construction procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
• Ability to shoot grade and safely operate heavy equipment, including but not limited to, excavator, high reach forklift and skid steer loader.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Ability to conduct manual labor activities including hand digging, use of construction power tools, jack-hammers and trench tamping equipment.
• Strong communication skills; thorough and attentive to details; able to prioritize and multitask; proactive and deadline oriented.
• This position requires physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance working in an open, outdoor environment. The applicant must be physically fit and able to perform labor required of the job including the ability to: lift and carry 70 pounds regularly and work safely in extreme weather (hot & cold).

• Salary: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience or skill level

Requirements

• Valid drivers license (required)
• CDL "A" Virginia drivers license (strongly suggested)
• Operator certification
