Position: Service Technician (Shop & Field)
Pay: $30/hour - $50/hour (Experience Depending)
Shift: 1st, M-F with OT occasional weekend work
Location: Seattle, WA (company vehicle and cellphone)
Job Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and troubleshooting on a variety of mobile crane equipment and aerial lift equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, technical proficiency, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and service tasks on mobile crane & lift equipment, including lubrication, fluid checks, filter replacements, and component inspections.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues, utilizing diagnostic tools, manuals, and technical resources as needed.
- Perform repairs and replacements of defective parts, components, or systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough inspections of mobile crane equipment, documenting findings, and identifying potential safety hazards or operational deficiencies.
- Complete service reports, work orders, and maintenance records accurately and promptly, maintaining detailed records of all service activities and equipment histories.
- Collaborate with service managers, dispatchers, and other team members to coordinate service schedules, prioritize work orders, and maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Provide technical support and assistance to customers, operators, and onsite personnel, answering questions, offering guidance, and ensuring safe and proper equipment operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA and industry safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mobile crane technician or similar role, with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mobile crane equipment, including familiarity with crane controls, systems, and components.
- Technical certifications or licenses related to crane maintenance and repair, such as NCCCO certification or equivalent, are highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively as part of a team, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record, with the ability to travel to client sites and operate company vehicles as needed.
