Portable Miner (Heavy Equipment Operator) Job Summary:

This position is seasonal, dependent on customer contracts of the Erlen Group Portable Division. Activities may include operating loading, crushing and screening mobile equipment as well as performing maintenance activities on processing plants. This position will work in varied locations within a 200-mile radius of Springfield, Missouri.

Portable Miner (Heavy Equipment Operator) Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment – Rubber tire loader, excavator, off-road haul trucks for portable locations and surface quarries.
• Daily equipment maintenance – Greasing, fueling equipment, keeping material clean from under conveyors, help with maintaining portable plant.
• Work safe and efficiently.

Portable Miner (Heavy Equipment Operator) Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to operate heavy equipment
• Ability to perform safely and stay focused while working in various environments.
• Good communication skills

Portable Miner (Heavy Equipment Operator) Education and Experience:

• Required: High School diploma or equivalent
• Required: Valid Missouri Driver’s License
• Required: Equipment operation skills
• Required: MSHA Certification (may be obtained after hire)
• Preferred: General maintenance and mechanical skills

Portable Miner (Heavy Equipment Operator) Physical and/or Travel Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs at a time
• Must be able to perform maintenance duties
• Possible overnight travel depending on jobsite location.
