The Kearney Companies, LLC is hiring: FIELD Mechanic - Heavy Equipment in Riverv

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment field mechanic to join our team. They will be responsible for performing all types of repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes. The Heavy Equipment Mechanic will collaborate closely with our team of operators to ensure the equipment is in good working order and meets all safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance on heavy equipment, including oil changes, lubrication, and filter replacements.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed.
• Repair and replace damaged or worn-out parts.
• Inspect equipment on a regular basis to ensure proper functioning and identify potential problem.
• Test equipment after repairs are made to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety guidelines and company policies and procedures
• Inventory supplies

Required Skills:

• Valid Driver’s license and be local
• Clean driving record
• Pass a background check
• Experience working with Komatsu, John Deere, and Cat equipment
• Experience with a variety of heavy equipment, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and backhoes.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and climb
• Able to speak clearly and listen attentively
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be self-motivated

Experience:

• Diesel Mechanic: 1 year (Required)
• Heavy Equipment Mechanic: 2 years (Required)
