Job Description: Are you a dynamic and results-oriented salesperson prepared to excel as a Senior Business Development Director, focusing on growth and account penetration within Private Equity? The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, developing, and executing strategic business opportunities that drive growth and profitability for the company. As a senior member of our client coverage team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our sales endeavors. Responsibilities: Business Development:

Leverage your expertise to support identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for client expansion. Proactively generate new business opportunities from new private equity firms. Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive growth and profitability.

Team Collaboration and Cross-Functional Engagement:

Collaborate with team members and other departments, including marketing and research & operations, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to customer satisfaction and business success. Build and nurture strategic partnerships that contribute to the overall growth and success of the Client Coverage team.

Continuous Improvement and Market Awareness:

Participate in and drive continuous improvement within the Client Coverage team by executing feedback loops and adapting strategies based on evolving market trends. Demonstrate adaptability to markets and diverse customer bases, tailoring business development strategies. Promote innovation by introducing new business development techniques, technologies, and methodologies.

Technology Proficiency:

Utilize account management technologies, CRM systems, and data analytics tools to streamline processes, enhance data-driven decision-making, and improve overall team efficiency.

Community Engagement and Industry Involvement:

Actively participate in industry events, conferences, and community outreach efforts to build relationships beyond direct account management interactions. Travel to meet clients, understanding their needs and strengthening relationships in person.

Key Characteristics: A good person who loves to win and believes in “we” more than “me”. Has a player/coach mentality. You need to be a “doer” who is unafraid to work in a less structured environment. Highly analytical using data-driven intellectual curiosity to solve problems, primarily around prioritizing and penetrating client accounts. Highly developed customer service skills, including both IQ to fully grasp the PE world and how we bring value, and EQ to understand the nuances in communicating with this particular client set. Self-motivated with a strong ability to work both in teams and independently to get jobs done on time. Extremely well-organized, detail-oriented, and highly comfortable with multitasking. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Qualifications: 4-year undergraduate degree from a top University, ideally in business or a related field. 5-10 years of professional work experience in sales, account management, or customer success. Prior account management experience with a top, trusted resource serving the private equity industry is preferred. Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce.com.
