Enviroservices & Training Center, LLC is currently advertising for the following position:
A Hawaii-based, locally-focused, environmental consulting firm is seeking a full-time Project Manager in Civil/Environmental Engineering for its Honolulu office.
Employee must possess the necessary knowledge, education, experience, physical abilities and communication skills to perform the duties described below:
Manage projects and staff involved in a variety of environmental compliance, planning, and design projects. Other responsibilities include being a technical lead for civil engineering services on projects of varying size.
Prepare and review engineering scope of work and budgets/estimates for proposals.
Manage and deliver projects including coordination and oversight, scope, schedule and cost control, change control, progress reporting, and issue resolution.
Interface with clients through successful project completion.
Perform quality control reviews of projects.
Prepare technical reports and other project documents.
Prepare design packages including, but not limited to, quantity calculations, cost estimates, specifications, site-specific plans and contract documents to detail project activities and/or to specify requirements for contractors.
Provide data management, interpretation and technical leadership.
Conduct audits of roadways and associated facilities for compliance with local and federal stormwater management requirements.
Conduct inspections of stormwater infrastructure such as outfalls, open channels, and other drainage structures.
Conduct water sampling (stormwater and drinking water) for compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
Provide desktop and in-situ (field) reviews of water utility assets.
Work closely with staff, regulators, and client representatives on multiple projects based in the office and field.
Perform any and all other assignments as may be necessary to support other environmental consulting and engineering services including but not limited to CWA, RCRA, CERCLA compliance. Such duties may include planning and permitting, inspections, training, public outreach, sampling, report writing.
Skills/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an U.S.-accredited four-year college or university.
Minimum of 8 years’ experience working in site-civil engineering, environmental engineering, stormwater management, drinking water distribution, and/or highway design.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) Certification in the State of Hawaii, or ability to obtain from another state within 3 months of employment.
Ability to manage large data sets.
Must be able to effectively communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and the public.
Ability to provide quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of team work products.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to provide mentorship to junior staff.
Ability to work independently and in team settings, organize/manage multiple priorities, and conduct problem analysis/resolution.
Ability to interpret civil construction design and as-built plans.
Proficient in AutoCAD and working with plan markups.
Experience working with various PC software applications including, but not limited to, Bluebeam Revu, Civil 3D, GIS, MS Excel, MS Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years’ experience working in site-civil, water and stormwater design.
Proficient with Bluebeam Revu, Civil 3D, ArcGIS (Pro), and MS Excel.
Experience with sampling environmental media (stormwater and drinking water preferred).
Familiarity with potable water systems, including regulatory requirements.
Familiarity with Green Infrastructure/Low Impact Development design.
Familiarity with Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit compliance.
