Kelly Services is hiring: PLE (Packaging/Labeling Equipment) Operator in Savanna

Job Summary: 
As a PLE (Packaging/Labeling Equipment) Operator, you will be a vital part of our mission to empower healthier lives through nutrition. Your role will involve operating, cleaning, and performing light maintenance on packaging and labeling equipment. You will also be responsible for setting up coding equipment and ensuring product adherence to specifications. 
 
Job Specifications: 
- Job Type: Full-time, temp to direct placement  
- Location: Savannah, GA | 31408 
- Pay Rate: $18.00 (not including a $3 shift differential for 3rd shift) based on knowledge and demonstrated skill 
- Shift: 3rd Shift: 7:00pm to 7:30am OR 7:00am to 7:30pm, both shifts rotating 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on etc. 
 
Roles and Responsibilities: 
- Operate packaging and labeling equipment, including the accumulator, cap applicator, mead wrapper, cardboard packer, and inkjet coder. 
- Enter SKU, lot code, and expiration date information into coding and labeling equipment according to specification sheets. 
- Verify materials and codes to ensure adherence to specifications and record necessary information. 
- Clean and perform maintenance on equipment following operation manuals and plant SOPs. 
- Perform autonomous maintenance for packaging, labeling, and coding equipment. 
 
Qualifications & Skills: 
- High School graduate or equivalent. 
- Basic proficiency in the English language to comply with verbal directions, signs, policies, and procedures. 
- Ability to lift, kneel, bend over, squat, stoop, and carry up to 50 lbs. 
- Basic computer, math, and mechanical skills. 
- Strong organizational and planning skills to maximize job efficiency.
