We are looking to hire a senior product manager to join our team and play a vital role in leading the innovations that the world’s leading AI services, cloud services, and private datacenters depend on – you will be part of a strategic team within Microsoft and have worldwide impact.
As a senior product manager, you will understand customers’ virtualization needs and challenges, identify innovative product features, and drive product vision and strategy. You will collaborate with a diverse set of engineering teams and partner teams to design, implement, and ship new features into our Azure public cloud and to customers’ private datacenters.

Responsibilities
Drive large cross-team and cross-group initiatives and programs in collaboration with internal and external partner stakeholders and end-to-end ownership of feature delivery.
Engage with customers and partners to deeply understand customers’ needs and identify key product innovations.
Drive preview programs to gather customer feedback for early validation and close product feedback loop between customers and engineering.
Be the trusted advisor for our customers and partners, produce relevant collateral, demos, and best practice guides.
Drive product adoption and customer retention through effective go-to-market strategies, product positioning and messaging, product measurement and monitoring, and feedback.
Understand the market landscape, customer demand, and competitive offerings. Evangelize the product vision, strategy, and value proposition to internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
OR equivalent experience.
5+ years experience driving large, complex cross-group programs in collaboration with internal and external partners
5+ years experience proven ability to lead through ambiguity while partnering across organizations
5+ years experience setting vision and strategy for virtualization or container platforms
Other Requirements:
Cloud Background check: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
OR equivalent experience.
7+ years experience understanding of cloud fundamentals and technologies
7+ years experience demonstrating ability to come up-to-speed quickly on a new technical domain
7+ years experience in written communication and presentation skills
7+ years experience proven success in collaborating across engineering, business, data science, and operational teams, up to and including working with partner level stakeholders
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
