Data-Core Systems Inc. is seeking Senior Scrum Master to be a part of our Consulting team. You will participate and effectively contribute to the design, development, and training of both IT and business professionals. You’ll provide managerial support for individual initiatives. You will have the opportunity to work with other SME consultants from our existing team.


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate scrum ceremonies – daily stand-up, sprint reviews, sprint retrospectives, sprint planning, and other meetings as needed
  • Work with Product Owner, cross-functional development team to support business value delivery
  • Track and report on development team metrics such as velocity, risks, sprint burndown, release burndown, cumulative flow, etc. and works to improve the efficiency of the development team
  • Remove and/or escalate impediments as necessary
  • Shield the team from outside distractions and interferences
  • Build relationships with other organizational scrum masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the organization
  • Ensure development team is working efficiently towards sprint goals
  • Possesses conflict resolution, does conversation by focusing on scrum values of openness, honesty and respect
  • Forecast numbers of deliverables possible in and integration, which is based on evidence and reliable sources.
  • Coach the development team and project stakeholders on agile and scrum practices, processes and tools
  • Recommend process improvements and assist in changes as needed
  • Create an environment that empowers and energizes team members, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration.
  • Lead and coach the organization in its Scrum (and/ or SAFe)S@S(Simplify @ Scale) adoption;
  • Cause change that increases the productivity of the Scrum (and/or SAFe) Team
  • Ensure successful hand-over of the project products into IT and Business operations to support the achievement of the business benefits.
  • Manage customer and stakeholders’ expectations in coordination with respective Relation Manage and Business Solutions members.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority and broadly collaborate within and across teams.
  • A decision maker that utilizes data, meets commitments and always considers the customers’ perspective.
  • Very good at building relationships.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Technical or Business subjects
  • 3-5 years of experience in development or testing in a software development organization
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Scrum Master (or equivalent experience with other agile methodologies)
  • Experience using ADO (Azure DevOps) software
  • Excellent team player with proven ability to influence
  • Highly adaptable to a change environment
  • Able to give and receive open, honest feedback and to foster a feedback environment
  • Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to team development
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of Test Driven Development
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills
  • CSM Certification
  • Possible Travel (10%)
  • Experience within financial services.
  • Presenting to executive level management.
