Director, Consulting - Energy Supply Chain
Location: Houston Salary: USD 150,000 - 200,000 Wood Mackenzie is the global data and analytics business for the renewables, energy, and natural resources industries. Main Responsibilities As project lead, accountable for the quality of all solutions delivered to energy clients, from analytics to presentations. Manage multiple client relationships effectively, interfacing with C-Suite to Supply Chain, Project Management, Engineering, and Business Development teams. Collaborate on the development of new solutions to meet client objectives and facilitate the energy transition. Oversee and manage junior members of the Supply Chain Consulting team to drive successful project execution. Develop and maintain work plans to accomplish project scopes with clear objectives and deliverables. Ensure quality assurance and quality control of analyses and deliverables. Support management in planning, recruiting, training, and performance development. Regularly update management on project progress, revenue recognition, and profitability metrics. Identify opportunities to sell additional WoodMac consulting services and products; drive proposal development and partner with management to close deals. About You Bachelor's degree required; post-graduate degree preferred. 12+ years in Consulting, Supply Chain, Operations, or Engineering; experience in Power & Renewables and/or Oil & Gas preferred. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, project/time management, and managerial skills. Strong technical writing and ability to construct high-impact storylines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a diverse clientele. Passionate about coaching and committed to improving productivity for junior staff. Ability to adapt based on client needs; focus on solutions, not problems. Demonstrated ability to lead a dynamic, cohesive team. Enthusiastic about contributing to team culture through mentorship and teamwork. Strong interest in solving energy supply chain issues. Results-driven; enjoys challenges in a changing business environment. Willingness to travel 60-80% of the time. Growth Mindset – believes in developing new abilities through practice and feedback.
