About the Role:
The SVP, Content Programming & Strategy is a visionary leadership position tasked with developing and implementing strategies that captivate and engage our diverse audience through the curation and promotion of Tubi's expansive content offerings. As a direct report to the Chief Content Officer, you will play a crucial role in propelling Tubi’s growth by enhancing the user experience through thoughtful analysis, planning, scheduling and strategic content placement that reflect our commitment to entertainment diversity as well as supporting the company’s business goals.
What You'll Do:
Refine and execute an evolving content strategy that highlights Tubi’s breadth of offerings while delivering unique value to our audience segments.
Drive content analysis to present impactful insights that inform business decisions across the Content organization.
Provide thought leadership internally and externally as a leader at the intersection of content and technology.
Share insights and progress reports with executive leadership, informing strategic decisions that contribute to Tubi’s overall success including insights on audience segments, content performance and viewer affinity.
Provide insights to the Content org, including the Tubi Originals and Content Acquisition & Partnerships teams, to help inform planning, acquisitions and development to enhance Tubi’s content library.
Partner with the Technology org to drive the content merchandising agenda, collaborating on innovative merchandising techniques and visually compelling and intuitive presentations of our library to foster a dynamic user experience.
Work closely with the Technology org on all content related workstreams including machine learning and audience engagement initiatives.
Employ data insights to fine-tune content discovery, aligning user preferences with strategic content rollouts for maximum impact.
Design a robust content calendar that ensures fresh, relevant, and diverse programming to elevate user engagement and platform loyalty.
Employ scheduling techniques to drive viewership and engagement across both VOD and linear.
Oversee the editorial voice of Tubi via a team of curators. Ensure that the largest content library in streaming remains not only well organized but also curated with a passion for content genres and verticals.
Partner with cross-functional teams to inform with insights, schedules and relevant content highlights.
Collaborate with Marcoms to amplify content reach, drive viewership, and support business development goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimized launch plans for key content releases.
Provide decisive leadership to the Content Programming & Strategy team, encouraging a culture of innovation and inclusion.
Establish cross-functional partnerships that align content strategic vision with Tubi’s broader mission and market positioning.
Your Background:
A strategic powerhouse with 15+ years in content strategy, programming, or a comparable leadership role, ideally within the digital media or streaming sectors.
A proven track record of deploying successful content strategies that resonate deeply with diverse audiences, resulting in significant engagement growth.
An analytical mind adept at harnessing insights from data analytics to drive decision-making in content curation and user experience.
Strong leadership acumen, capable of guiding teams through high-growth environments with a focus on achieving collective goals.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster alignment between various internal teams and external partners.
Forward-thinking and adaptive, ready to anticipate and respond to industry shifts with strategic agility and creative solutions.
Compensation:
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is listed annually below. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, long-term incentive plan, and various benefits including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
California Compensation:
Base ($213,000 to $304,000/year) + Bonus + Long-Term Incentive Plan + Benefits.
