About the Opportunity

The Master Planner is responsible for planning all service jobs for on-time execution by aligning all required resources that includes material and manpower by collaborating with cross functional teams that include but not limited to Material Procurement, Warehouse Operations, Service Coordination, and Field Service Execution. The Master Planner is responsible for the overall OTIF (On Time In Full) metric for the ELGi Distribution Operations Service business.

As a Master Planner, you will:

  • Ensure all open service orders in the system are planned for execution based on their individual priority and available resources are prioritized and allocated accordingly.
  • Run the territory planning and group planning modules in the ERP LN system to ensure 2 weeks of firm scheduling and 8 weeks of soft scheduling are done.
  • Provide operational insights to the Purchase team on shortages, Warehouse team on pending Warehouse actions, and Field service team on pending / in-complete services.
  • Provide Service Coordinators with revised estimated service date based on resource availability and allocation.
  • Run daily sunrise and sunset meetings to keep track and report service operations metrics
  • Run weekly and monthly business reviews to identify system, process, and people gaps.
  • Manage the age of open service orders in the system and ensure bad orders are purged from the system at a set interval.
  • Set up required automated planning jobs in the ERP system and ensure these jobs are running effectively.
  • Own all planning related system data / templates and ensure their accuracy by verifying and updating them at a set frequency.

About You

The Master Planner opportunity may be a match for you if you have the following minimum required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Relevant Field
  • 2+ Experience in Material Resource Planning (MRP) on an ERP system. Preferably in the service industry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Outlook, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent Customer Service skills
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail
