Status:Full Time 80 Hours

SALARY RANGE: 25.57 - 39.86HOURLY
General Summary:
This position consists of the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems, components, and devices. Requires State of Delaware Master Electrician License.
Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate and take the necessary corrective action to repair or replace any electrical equipment that is vital to the operation of the facility.
2. Complete a minimum of 95% class 'A' preventive maintenance. Account for a minimum of 85% productivity.
3. Install, direct, and supervise the installation of electrical equipment by others to be in accordance with local, state, and national code requirements.
4. Performs and or schedules required maintenance on emergency generators, electrical transformers' sub stations, emergency transfer switches, distribution panels, and other electrically operated equipment as needed.
5. Maintain an up to date library of electrical drawings, maintenance, and operational manuals pertaining to the distribution and location of hospital electrical and fire alarm circuits.
6. Maintain adequate stock to maintain and repair hospital electrical equipment.
7. Perform and log the necessary information on required monthly emergency generator testing, and quarterly Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) testing to include the cost and frequency of maintenance, repair, and replacement of related operational parts.
8. Maintain safe exterior walking surfaces by assisting with snow removal.
9. All other duties as assigned within the scope and range of job responsibilities to include snow/ice removal

Required Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Credential(s): Master Electrician; Driver License; Driving Record Required.
- Experience: Required: Minimum of four years' experience as licensed electrician.
Preferred Education, Credential(s) and Experience:
- Education: Associate Degree Electrical; Associate Degree in a Related Field
- Credential(s):
- Experience: Preferred: Five years industrial or commercial experience of electrical planning and construction.
