Job Summary:

The Master Scheduler will coordinate schedules and inventories to ensure efficient and effective operation of the assigned department or facility.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversees the Inventory Management personnel.

Duties:

  • Serves as a primary point of contact for and liaison with sales, supply chain, manufacturing, and engineering departments.
  • Collaborates with these departments to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve customer needs, internal and external.
  • Develop and maintains a Master Production Schedule (MPS) and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) through the ERP system, and as applicable.
  • Integrates sales orders through the MPS to delineate what products will be produce, when and in what quantities.
  • Links sales demand with material availability and manufacturing capacity to create a realistic plan that minimizes overstock while maximizing on-time delivery and revenue output. Uses judgment to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as required.
  • Participates in periodic Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) cycle; leads additional planning meetings with sales, manufacturing, supply chain, engineering staff.
  • Manages safety stock levels of critical components and assemblies.
  • Performs other related duties, as required.


Skills/Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Relationship building skills, and adaptability.
  • Thorough understanding of the supply chain.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems and BI tools, such as SAP, Syspro, etc. Costpoint is a plus.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel, power BI. Tableau experience is a must.
  • Lean manufacturing methodologies experience. (Kanban, PFEP, supermarket, etc.)


Education and Experience:

  • Three to five years of production and materials planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • BS degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field is required. Additional work experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • Professional certification by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) in CPIM certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Dress up for Cleanroom environment, as needed.
