Yuasa Battery, Inc., the leading manufacturer, and distributor of power sports batteries located in Laureldale, Pennsylvania is searching for a results-oriented Master Scheduler/Inventory Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for master planning functions for the plant, distribution center, and coordinating with Sales. Responsibilities also include inventory accuracy and continuous improvement of the inventories throughout the plant and Distribution Center.


Essential Functions:

Scheduler:

  • Create the Master Schedule for production planning that feeds the DC finishing schedules.
  • Develop production plans, budget, and timelines according to production specifications, plant capacity and sales demand requirements and Assembly/Finishing priorities.
  • Monitor production status frequently to ensure timely delivery.
  • Identify delays and accordingly adjust schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Assist in production risk assessment and mitigation activities.
  • Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production schedules and schedule attainment.
  • Attend and become part of the monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) Meeting to have a consensus among management
  • Accumulate forecast inaccuracy data and analyze total planning performance to determine inventory strategies needed to achieve customer service goals and company expectations.
  • Control Inventories of parts, consumables, WIP, and Finished parts, month-end reconciliations.
  • Perform the cycle counts as needed to ensure accuracy.
  • Support annual physical inventory
  • Review new orders entered and adjust plans if needed
  • Must become proficient with BC – Business Central
  • Must become proficient with PSI – Production, Sales, Inventory Excel files
  • Introduce, maintain, and utilize communication tools to perform these duties.
  • Other reporting and duties as assigned.

Inventory:

  • Oversee finishing, warehouse, and plant operations related to inventory accuracy.
  • Control Inventory goods that arrive from suppliers through finished goods, imports included.
  • Ensure goods are stored properly and in a safe manner.
  • Decide with the team, the appropriate quantities of items to stock.
  • Ensure inventory levels are at the optimal levels.
  • Ensure safe working practices and company policies are followed.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or supply chain management required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Production Planning or Supply Chain Management required
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of operating powered industrial equipment including scissor lift
  • Organized and detail oriented
