Purpose

Describe the primary goals, objectives or functions or outputs of this position.

This role is responsible for the planning, scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring of the finite scheduling for all production lines in regards to product demand, plant capacity, and finished goods inventory goals, while maintaining customer service at or above target

Responsibilities include leading all scheduling activities for the department, minimizing distressed inventory, R&D work, engineering activities, New Product Introductions, and Third Party Requirements. Also responsible for the data integrity in all of the planning and scheduling systems.

  • Owns and maintains the accuracy of the Master Production Schedule plans
  • Develops and executes strategies to prevent and mitigate risks that may compromise the production plan; presents recommendations to management/leadership
  • Collaborates with leaders across the operation to identify optimal order sequence to meet inventory and productivity targets
  • Leads regular Master Production Scheduling (MPS) meetings and provides oversight to lock the defined frozen planning period through detailed analysis of capacity and load
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with the Global Supply Chain organization to solve complex problems related to the needs, priorities, and urgency of the schedule
  • Provides oversight of SAP/INFOR master data and recipe data, ensuring integrity; assesses demonstrated standards to ensure planning systems are aligned
  • Prepares delivery control reporting and oversees work order releases
  • Tracks orders and ensures supply plan is on track -- elevating deviations to key stakeholders as needed
  • Updates all System Master Data elements for an effective use of the MRP
Qualifications

Qualifications

List required and preferred qualifications (up to 10). Include education, skills and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or related field Required
    Advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of Discrete Manufacturing Planning experience
  • Pharmaceutical and/or medical device production knowledge and experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Planning and Quality systems required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in SAP Required
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Excel Required
  • INFOR knowledge preferred
  • APICS certification preferred

Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
