SA-TECH currently supports the Naval Air Warfare Center (NAWCAD) Naval Air Systems Command, and the NAWCAD Webster Outlying Field (WOLF) Divisions by providing rapid organic engineering, prototyping, reverse-engineering, environmental testing, antenna repairs and life-cycle extensions, and production capabilities.
We are currently looking to hire a certified Master Electrician at our complex at WOLF in St. Inigoes, MD to oversee all electrical projects and maintenance for our engineering, testing, prototyping, repair and production facilities.
You will be responsible for a broad range of tasks, primarily focused on the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems. You supervise a team of electricians, coordinate with other department heads, and ensure compliance with all safety and code regulations. Your strategic role involves planning electrical systems for new constructions and renovations, providing professional assessments, and ensuring the scalability and functionality of electrical systems across the enterprise.

Specific duties of a Master Electrician include:
- Designing and executing plans for electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, in accordance with job specifications and local codes.
- Directing and overseeing the work of junior electricians and subcontractors.
- Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.
- Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and components, using test equipment to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Managing maintenance procedures to maximize uptime and cost-effectiveness.
- Advising on and implementing energy-saving solutions and innovations.
- Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining records and handling project budgets.
- Perform a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy.

- Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards and to ensure compliance with codes and safety standards.

- Managing maintenance procedures to maximize uptime and cost-effectiveness.
- Advising on and implementing energy-saving solutions and innovations.
- Performing administrative tasks such as maintaining records and handling project budgets.
- Support the Facility Maintenance team.
- Conditions will vary.
- Capable of working outdoors and occasionally from elevated work platforms with fall protection harness and in temperatures ranging from 0-120 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Position will include: 45% standing, 20% bending, 15% reaching, 5% sitting, 5% walking, and 10% lifting.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- An Associate's Degree in Electrical Technology or a similar field; however, three to five (3-5) years of directly related experience may be substituted for the degree.
- In addition to the educational requirements, a minimum of three (3) years of electrical maintenance experience is also required.
- A valid Master Electrician's license is required.
- Demonstrated continuous education to stay updated with changes in electrical codes and technology.
- Experience in industrial environments is preferred, with an ability to manage complex electrical systems in compliance with operational and safety standards.
- Well-rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.
- Knowledge of common hand and power tools.
- Familiarity and knowledge of electrical measuring and testing tools, such as gauges, scopes, meters and the like.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
- Ability to calculate basic load requirements.
- Understanding of electrical and circuit theory.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Solid organizational and communication skills.
- Current Maryland Driver's License required; must be able to be insured through company's vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
- U.S. Citizenship required and you must already have or be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance prior to start date and maintain a Secret clearance throughout employment.
