Job Description
We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Senior IT Business Analyst in Tampa, Florida. Ideally, this candidate will have experience in the General Liability, Auto, or Homeowner's Insurance field. Experience with Guidewire Software would be a huge plus. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the insurance industry. As a key member of the Systems Team, the Business Analyst will work closely with stakeholders at all levels, from internal employees to customers, to ensure effective and efficient system and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate in-depth discussions with stakeholders to understand and translate business visions or problem statements into comprehensive systematic solutions.
• Collaborate with the Systems Team, including Project Manager and Quality Analysts, to conduct impact analysis, acceptance criteria, and devise test plans for systematic changes.
• Critically review and analyze vendor-provided solutions for accuracy and comprehensiveness, ensuring they align with organizational needs.
• Actively participate in the Systems Team, providing clear communication on assignment status and adapting to changing priorities.
• Evaluate opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of internal team processes and overall business operations.
• Maintain detail oriented and courteous communication with coworkers, management, clients, vendors, and others.
• Participate in special projects, limited system testing, or releases as assigned, while upholding the company's integrity and compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Utilize CRM, Gap Analysis, Agile Scrum, Business Process Functions, Claim Administration, and Guidewire skills to perform tasks and achieve team goals.
• A minimum of 5 years of detail oriented experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the insurance industry
• Proficient in CRM systems and able to leverage these tools to optimize business processes
• Demonstrated experience in performing Gap Analysis to identify areas of improvement and propose effective solutions
• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology and experience in working within this framework
• Solid understanding of Business Process Functions and ability to map and improve these processes
• Experience in Claim Administration, preferably in an insurance context, or auto insurance, or homeowner's insurance
