Exciting Business Analyst opportunity available for a contract to hire position!! In this role you will work 3 days/week in the Philadelphia, PA office. You will be responsible for:
- Develop & maintain computer base applications to support business needs.
- Test, debug, document and maintain programs
- Excellent oral & written communication skills
- Work with internal & external customers at a high level to determine IS needs to provide desired results
- Ability to coordinate meetings with customers and present ideas in clear and concise fashion.
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects of varying size & scope simultaneously
- Create detailed project outlines and application design document specifications
- Must be able to design applications to meet customer needs.
- Formulates and defines scope (requirements) and objective based on user needs and thorough understanding of business processes.
- Works with stakeholders on process improvement projects designed to improve results.
- Gathers and analyzes information and provides recommendations to address and resolve root causes.
- Evaluates/researches business problems and their relationship to technology.
- Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of project or development proposals including problem definition, evaluation or alternatives, cost/benefit analysis, action plans and documentation (reports, models, etc.) Typically coordinates activities at a department level.
- Resource must have previous web services/API and Microsoft or Oracle SQL DB knowledge. Intermediate SQL knowledge is a must.
- Previous Production Support experience tracking incidents and managing customer relationship is highly desirable.
- Previous experience utilizing application monitoring tools and tracking of production issues is highly desirable.
Skill/Experience/Education
Required:
- 3+ years experience as a Business Analyst
- Ability to meet with technical/business teams
- Experience in SDLC and SQL
- Previous experience supporting or writing requirements for web services/API
Plus skills:
- Production Support experience is highly desirable.
