Role: Business Analyst Duration: 5+ months Location: Chicago, IL(Hybrid) Top 5 Skill sets: 1. Experience in Agile methodology, including writing of technical user stories and acceptance criteria 2. Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) or equivalent tools 3. Translating data models and process models into user stories and acceptance criteria 4. Proactively identifying and documenting gaps in requirements 5 Process modeling and analysis (business and technical) Nice to have skills or certifications: 1. .NET and AWS stack experience 2. Developer experience 3. Knowledge/expertise of airline PSS systems, functionality, and industry standards Location: Chicago (Hybrid) - Must be able to be in person at Willis Tower 2 days/week Top Five Skills: 1. Extensive experience writing detailed technical user stories and acceptance criteria, in accordance with Agile methodology principles 2. Understanding and experience working with sequence diagrams, data models and technical architecture. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and Azure DevOps (ADO) 3. Effective written and verbal communication, with the presence to lead meetings with key stakeholders 4. Ability to multi-task across multiple project topics and workstreams, while maintaining high standards for thorough documentation and attention to detail 5. Reliable, proactive and self-motivated Project Details: We need a talented Senior Technical Business Analyst to fill a critical opening on our PSS (Passenger Service System) team. We are working to completely transform and modernize our PSS over the next several years, which will result in an industry leading platform. This position will play an integral role identifying and documenting technical product requirements and acceptance criteria. In this role, they will ensure collaboration and alignment between functional (product) requirements from business/subject matter experts and multiple development and architecture teams. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: * Lead meetings with project technical leads to document process flows, user stories and acceptance criteria * Process modeling and analysis (business and technical) * Translating data models into user stories and acceptance criteria * Proactively identifying and documenting gaps in requirements * Prepare other technical documentation as needed Preferred, not required: * .NET and AWS stack experience * Developer experience * Knowledge/expertise of airline PSS systems, functionality, and industry standards Required qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or equivalent experience * Five or more years of IT experience, or any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training * Experience in Agile methodology, including writing of technical user stories and acceptance criteria * Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint * Proficiency in Azure DevOps (ADO) or equivalent tools * Excellent technical documentation and attention to detail * Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
