Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Operations Analyst to join our dental practice organization. As the Business Operations Analyst, you will play a vital role in analyzing financial reports, optimizing business processes, and making data-driven decisions to enhance the performance of our multi-site dental group serving patients in Brooklyn + Queens. This is a mostly remote position, and the successful candidate must live within 3 hours same day commuting distance to meet in person at least once per month for training / team meetings.
As the Data Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in streamlining operations, improving efficiency, and maximizing the financial performance of our dental practices. Your experience in data analytics or data consulting, along with your strong ability to analyze financial data and generate actionable insights, will be instrumental in achieving these goals.
In this position, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data from various sources. Your expertise in data analysis and operational consulting will enable you to generate meaningful insights and provide actionable recommendations. By continuously improving our multi-site dental/medical office group's performance, you will contribute to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities Scope (including but not limited to):Financial Analysis and Reporting:- Analyze financial reports, including revenue, expenses, and key performance indicators (KPIs), to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to support strategic planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes.
- Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, providing insights for operational optimization and performance enhancement.
- Conduct ad hoc analyzes to address specific business questions and provide actionable insights.
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Collect and analyze large and complex healthcare data sets, including patient records, clinical outcomes, financial data, and operational metrics.
- Collect, clean, and validate data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and quality.
- Utilize data analytics tools and software to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets for meaningful insights.
- Design and implement data visualization dashboards, reports, and interactive tools to present findings and insights to stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and revenue optimization based on data analysis.
- Collaborate with teams to translate data insights into actionable strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical, administrative, and finance, to gather data and align objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and refine data requirements, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of collected data.
- Communicate analysis findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, tailored to different stakeholders.
- Build relationships with team members and stakeholders to foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI or Tableau, or other relevant software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets.
- Experience in statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
Financial Acumen:
- Solid understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- Ability to analyze financial statements, identify trends, and generate financial forecasts.
Project Management:
- Excellent deliverable management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, set priorities, and ability to set and meet deadlines.
- Proven experience in successfully owning projects autonomously and driving process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to plan deadlines accordingly
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience in data analytics, consulting, or business operations, preferably in the healthcare or dental industry.
- Proficiency in data analytics software and tools.
- Familiarity with dental practice management software and electronic health records systems is a plus.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the dental industry, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, consulting, or business operations.
- Proven track record in analyzing financial data, generating insights, and driving process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field. An MBA is not required.
Salary- $30,000-300,000
