Job Summary

We are seeking a Business Analyst who will play a crucial role in our operations by conducting detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, assigning projects to developers, and performing user acceptance testing. This position is essential for ensuring that our technology solutions align with business needs and drive our growth forward.

Role and Responsibilities

To excel in this role, the Senior Business Analyst will be expected to:

  • Understand Complex Systems: Comprehend intricate business processes and their integration with the insurance sector.
  • Document Processes: Synthesize and document business and system processes into clear flow charts and summaries.
  • Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with operational departments to gather product and feature requirements, transforming them into technical specifications for developers.
  • Evaluate New Features: Create frameworks for assessing new features or enhancements, considering all impacted parties and reporting requirements.
  • Identify Improvements: Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and uncover areas for enhancement, implementing effective solutions.
  • Stay Current: Keep abreast of the latest advancements in processes and IT to modernize and automate systems.
  • Communicate Insights: Conduct meetings and presentations to share findings and insights with stakeholders.
  • Lead Projects: Manage projects, develop project plans, and monitor performance to ensure timely completion.
  • Support Junior Staff: Provide leadership, training, and guidance to junior team members.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure that solutions meet business needs and adhere to established standards.

Qualifications and Education Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent insurance industry experience.
  • Experience:
    • 1 or more years of property and casualty insurance experience.
    • 3 or more years of business analysis or product management experience.
  • Skills:
    • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and sense of urgency in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
    • Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and demanding environment.
    • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
    • Experience with creating flow diagrams and wireframes preferred.

Physical Demands
