Resource 1 is in need of a Business Analyst for a long-term position for our healthcare client in the Chicago suburbs. NO THIRD PARTIES/ C2C for this position. This role will start off as a contract through 2025 but has the potential to convert to full-time in the future. Our client is based in Oak Brook, IL and requires 2 days per week onsite (Wednesdays and Thursdays), so candidates must be local to the Chicagoland area. BA will partner with Product Managers, software development team, UI/ UX team and external customers in the design, development and enhancement of commercial software products. Will be responsible for delivering quality software products to customers by understanding product strategy, customer needs, developing detailed business requirements and supporting product development and deployment.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop detailed requirement specifications, user stories and process flow diagrams.
  • Lead the development of new or enhancement of existing software products utilizing facilitation skills, interviews, business and market research to develop detailed requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between users, Product Manager and Software Developers. As needed, act as a liaison with internal and external stakeholders in support of product.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of problems and identify, analyze, document and help facilitate the correction of defects in the software at any point in the product life cycle.
  • Work with the Product Manager to analyze gaps between current product and the desired state, evaluating and implementing improvements to software products.
  • Facilitate the planning and execution of regression, functional and ad-hoc testing.
  • Work with the Product Manager to support product launch and rollout activities.
  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint retrospectives and backlog grooming sessions (prior experience with this is not required).


Qualifications:


  • Technical acumen with the ability to communicate effectively with development teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strength in requirements analysis and use case/ user story development.
  • Basic understanding of SQL queries.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).


Preferred Experience:


  • Experience in a software product development environment (web-based, customer-facing), healthcare industry and/ or regulatory/ compliance market.
