Overview
OVERVIEW OF POSITION:Under general direction, bridges the gap between our business objectives and technology solutions, ensuring that our projects and initiatives are aligned with the company's strategic goals. Responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing innovative healthcare solutions that enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Leverages expertise to lead the analysis of complex business problems and opportunities, delivering data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to drive strategic decision-making.
Starting salary range: $32-$37 per hour
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Collaborates with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business requirements. Conducts thorough analysis of business processes and identify areas for improvement. Develops detailed business cases, project plans, and requirements documentation. Works closely with IT and development teams to design and implement technology solutions. Facilitates meetings and workshops to drive consensus and ensure alignment on project goals. Provides expert guidance on industry best practices and regulatory compliance. Monitors and evaluate project progress, providing regular updates to senior management. May support junior analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. Utilizes data analytics to identify trends, generate insights, and support data-driven decision-making. Develops and maintain comprehensive reporting and dashboard solutions to track key performance indicators. Performs cost-benefit analysis to support investment decisions and project prioritization. Assists in the development of training materials and conduct training sessions for end-users. Ensures the accuracy and integrity of data and information within business systems. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems or related field -OR- the equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate the ability to perform the essential functions of the position. Advanced degree (MBA, MHA, or related) preferred. Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or Healthcare IT (e.g., CPHIMS) is highly desirable. Coursework or training in healthcare analytics, data management, and healthcare information systems. Continuing education in the latest healthcare industry trends, technologies, and best practices through workshops, seminars, and professional conferences.EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the healthcare industry. Proven track record in managing and analyzing healthcare data to drive business decisions. Experience with healthcare regulations, compliance, and industry standards such as HIPAA. Experience in creating detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for ahealthcare organization. Proven experience in process improvement, including workflow analysis, process mapping, and reengineering. Skilled in stakeholder management, including facilitating discussions, managing expectations, and ensuring successful project delivery. Experience with project management methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall, and familiarity with project management tools such as JIRA or MS Project.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: Deep understanding of healthcare systems, including EHR/EMR systems, healthcare data analytics, and industry-specific software applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, PowerBI), and excellent communication and presentation skills. Expertise in requirements gathering, business process modeling, and creating comprehensive documentation. Proficiency in project management and workflow optimization tools and techniques. Strong technical skills, including understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and experience with healthcare IT systems. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders. Capacity to think strategically and implement innovative solutions to complex problems. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accuracy and consistency in data analysis and reporting. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and stay updated with industry changes and advancements Ability to exercise discretion, demonstrate good judgement, and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. Ability to travel locally; maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration.
