Job Description
Position Summary:
IEM is looking for a Full Time- Business Analyst, the primary purpose of the position is to perform analysis and prepare reports to support business operations. This position will conduct modeling, forecasting, trending, variance analysis, business case development, and other general financial and operational analysis. Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on the operation's business scorecard or key performance indicators (KPIs). Contribute to the development of short-term and long-range business planning. This position will require well rounded technical aptitude, high problem-solving ability, and excellent teamwork skills to be successful.
Primary Location:
- Candidate must live a commutable distance to Guaynabo and Santurce, PR
- This is an in-office role and candidates must be willing to commute to the office.
Travel Requirements:
- This position will require work to be conducted onsite and may require work on weekends or in excess of 40 hours per week. Travel and other expenses are reimbursable in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.
- All interested candidates must be willing to work on site for the duration of each disaster assignment. Assignments typically may last up to 12 months with potential for extension.
Essential Functions:
- Support the Director in driving operational excellence and strategic alignment.
- Facilitating seamless communication within and across organizations, optimize workflows and enable effective decision making to accelerate the transformation of division.
- Manage and report on process/project/initiative assignments.
- Develop performance indicators and tracking mechanisms to monitor and report results. Oversee, prepare, review, and analyze reports and controls for projects and initiatives for both internal and external use.
- Develop, enhance, and implement systems for tracking and reporting data and automating processes.
- Evaluate program performance by utilizing forecast vs. actual data.
- Evaluate and modify current program projections to accommodate changes.
- Prepare and coordinate presentations to report on program performance.
- Oversee the establishment of business plans and objectives across multiple areas / departments.
- Lead stakeholders in the development of business cases and prioritization of deliverables
- Prepare financial forecast to ensure the program meets established goals.
- Analyze organizational data and problems, interpret and recommend alternative courses of action, and implement intervention strategies to attain performance targets.
- Monitor and coordinate activities to support the functional area and operational performance management.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering or related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in business or data analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency and experience in standard software applications (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS-Project, Asset Suite), specialized business technologies and applications (e.g., Sharepoint, project management, forecasting, work management, project management methodologies, such as Agile, Scrum) to retrieve and analyze data in support of business needs.
- General knowledge of the procedures and principles of performance analysis (trending, root cause and gap analysis) benchmarking and audit compliance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of business analysis tools and techniques, such as UML, BPMN, use cases, user stories, data modeling, visualizations, PowerBI, Visio, Oracle and Rational Requisite.
