Under the direction of the Manager of Operations Systems Support, the Business Systems Analyst is responsible for ensuring the Bank’s goals and objectives are met through application support and maintenance of the Bank’s informational/operational systems and their corresponding configurations. This includes providing management and general oversight for the Bank’s customer relationship management (CRM) application, deposit and loan origination applications, integrated documentation systems, core banking system, and others. Duties include the performance of import verifications, regular data quality and maintenance-related tasks, the configuration of work flows and other product parameters, testing of system updates pre/post-change, periodic training of others across various tasks, engagement with vendors supporting troubleshooting and new capabilities development, and management of end user access. Incumbent will also assist with additional systems reporting as part of the Bank’s overall data governance program and support team responsibilities. Incumbent must be PC proficient in Word, Excel, and Power Point. Must have familiarity and experience with the usage and management of computer databases. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.

  • Ensure consistent, efficient, and effective support of operational systems in keeping them up to date and aligned with the changing regulatory environment and improved technologies.
  • Plays a supporting role in the implementation and testing of system changes to support new products and system upgrades to ensure system integrity and data accuracy.
  • Assists bank managers and other stakeholders in collecting and reporting on information within regular/ad-hoc reports necessary to address issues/problems, develop appropriate remediation plans, and execute remediation efforts.
  • Maintain an ongoing knowledge of changing banking technologies and relevant regulations.
  • Assist with the implementation of new and ongoing update of existing procedures to help ensure the Bank’s conformity to compliance, regulatory, best-practice, and other operational areas.

Other Duties:

  • Assist as required with the administration of Bank systems and reporting tasks under the purview of the systems support department.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary for ongoing efficient and effective functioning of the systems support department.
  • Complies with all policies and procedures as applied to the Bank's BSA/AML policy.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Technical skills and operational knowledge of a wide variety of retail banking operations systems.
  • Excellent MS Office Suite skills.
  • Ability to document process flows and steps throughout a business process.
  • Ability to collaborate with team members at various levels across the Bank organization, including executives.
  • The ability to think critically and creatively about projects, processes, and procedures in an effort to problem solve, improve efficiencies, and streamline processes.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills of both a technical and non-technical nature.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple project efforts under tight deadlines.
  • Works well independently.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a clerical office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers. The office environment and job duties include work conducted via in-person face-to-face meetings, videoconferencing, telephone, and other interactions on the computer.

Physical Demands:

This position requires manual dexterity, the ability to lift files and opening cabinets. This position requires bending, stooping or standing as necessary.

Travel:

Infrequent travel may be required for this position.

Education and Experience:

  • College degree (business/information technology or other related field preferred)
  • 1+ years of technical and/or operational experience with a wide variety of banking back office operations systems.
  • Knowledge of banking and business processes to include data governance, data reporting, and data analysis, sales campaigns, marketing strategies, and incentives plans
  • Experience working with Bank or Financial Institution-related core and database/other systems (specific experience with Jack Henry & Associates Silverlake core and JHA product suite, 360View CRM, Baker Hill NextGen, and/or Verafin application experience beneficial)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
