TA (Temporary Assignment) Senior Business Analyst | Warehouse Management/Supply Chain

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for defining and executing initiatives in collaboration with our key stakeholders and partners across multiple lines of business. The role will have understanding of business and technical capabilities, identify gaps and deliver product roadmaps for new capabilities. A successful candidate will be highly collaborative, able to work extremely effectively in a matrix organization while wearing multiple hats, be comfortable working autonomously, and adept at synthesizing a variety of technologies and capabilities into high quality, simple products and applications. As the subject matter expert for Supply Chain, the role will be a liaison to the business, development, implementation and support teams as well as support projects, enhancements, backlog and prioritization of features and capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Participates in technical guidance and oversight
  2. Lead complex analysis, providing guidance and oversight
  3. Develops and maintains relationships with business, vendor and technology stakeholders
  4. Provides thought leadership and asserts influence by driving small projects/initiatives to completion effectively and efficiently
  5. Provides subject matter knowledge on the business, associated processes and systems
  6. Understands the Warehouse Management system configurations, and can work with business to adjust configurations to meet changing business needs
  7. Manage relationships with multiple vendors providing support to Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) products
  8. Manages project interdependencies in support of business strategies, roadmaps and financial commitments
  9. Escalates issues and recommends appropriate solutions
  10. Identifies product and process improvement opportunities by staying involved in product sustainment and customer feedback
  11. Mentors team members on application of best practices and standards
  12. Supports pre-project business case definition for large or complex projects
  13. Works with the business to determine the real issue that needs to be solved or the opportunity to do things differently
  14. Develops business cases to ensure benefits align to strategic and tactical business objectives
  15. Supports the business in business, technical and financial feasibility assessments
  16. Manages business engagement and stakeholder management activities for large or complex projects
  17. Leads creation of technical specification, data mappings and user stories to enable system modification or development
  18. Works with project team, business and other stakeholders to align roadmaps and strategy, understand the business needs, define requirements, guide work, schedule it for release, validate stakeholder responses and provide feedback
  19. Ensures requirements are aligned to the business goals of the project and refined to a sufficient level of detail to allow Architects and Software Engineers to design, develop and implement appropriate solutions
  20. Identifies high level solution options for the business
  21. Reviews and sign-offs on solution designs, ensuring business requirements are verified, validated and delivered
  22. Combines business requirements into prioritized backlog grouped into project iterations in time to allow design/delivery to commence
  23. Manages the scope and traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that they are understood by the project team and met by the delivered solution
  24. Participates in functional design, construction and testing
  25. Ensures the benefits, impact and release of all changes are tracked and managed
  26. Ensures the required outcomes are built, tested, communicated, and delivered on time and within budget
  27. Assists in identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies
  28. Assists in third party/vendor assessments and reviews contracts to ensure that they accurately support business requirements

Required

  1. 5+ years of Business analysis experience or similar
  2. Technical product knowledge in Warehouse management or Supply Chain
  3. Experience leading discussion with senior leaders across business and technology
  4. Experience driving product strategy and optimization efforts for supply chain spanning multiple lines of business
  5. Understanding of Agile technical practices, DevOps and testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)
  6. Ability to think strategically and drive ideas into action, with a positive outlook and willingness to take personal initiative
  7. Demonstrated ability to identify, understand and drive resolution of complex critical issues
  8. Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills
  9. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration or similar field or related work experience

Preferred

  1. Prior experience with Blue Yonder preferred but not required
  2. Experience with the implementation of large systems
