Job Overview
The successful candidate will take responsibility for addressing and supporting the project and other public sector business projects for new and existing products and functionality initiatives across our systems. The role will encompass the full spectrum of business analyst activities through the full project life cycle. Relationship management skills for the various business contacts for the area will be important to ensure a superior service to our clients is maintained. Responsibilities This role is for a Senior Business Analyst, who can understand complex business issues and ability to understand the technical implications associated with business requirements. The business analyst should be able to handle a demanding work environment and maintain a very high level of deliverable quality. The successful candidate will be expected to interact with all levels of the business community, seeking approval from all stakeholders of the projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and clarify business requirements using interviews, workshops, and surveys as needed.
Responsibilities include:
Understand complex business issues and has ability to understand the technical implications associated with business requirements.
Assess and ensure that the solution being delivered is fit for purpose. Analyse and document business processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Create detailed business requirement documents (BRDs), functional requirement documents (FRDs), use cases, and other relevant documentation to effectively communicate requirements to the development team.
Writing User Stories and helping with solutions.
Obtaining agreement on business analysis deliverables and ensuring that they meet all the requirements of the business and tracking these across multiple systems groups. Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring that project goals and objectives are clearly understood and met.
Working with business leads within the team to identify, define, and clarify the scope / issues in terms of complex business/systems requirements.
Functionality co-ordination across multiple system projects delivering common, re-usable functionality using service-oriented patterns.
Driving user acceptance criteria with the customer.
Work with onshore-offshore US/India business analysts and onshore-offshore US/India development teams.
Stay abreast of key emerging products / industry standards in the Business Analysis arena. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains
Help with understanding the current and proposed Operational Processes.
Skills: Total Business Analysis experience of 6-8 yrs.
Total professional experience of 10 - 14 years.
Ability to identify & self-manage analysis work for the allocated workstream with minimal or no assistance.
Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders within project working group ensuring continual and effective communication.
Ability to translate business requirements to technical resources (internal and external) in supporting the project.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, facilitation & presentation skills.
Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall project methodologies.
Candidates with public sector experience preferred.
