Job Title: Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Washington DC - 1 day in a week
Duration: 6+ Months with possible extension
Summary:
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst on large-scale projects involving multiple agencies.
• Knowledge of processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Experience determining the explicit and implicit needs and requirements of various stakeholders.
• Ability to quickly learn the objectives, structures, operations, and policies of a new business area.
• Strong problem resolution, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills to effectively engage stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and levels of authority.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Experience creating documentation such as business case documentation and requirements specifications, including user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and process flows.
• Familiarity with business process modeling techniques, requirements elicitation tools, and project management methodologies.
• Adaptability and a willingness to learn new skills.
• At least five years of experience as project manager and/or business analyst.
• At least five years of experience with financial services industry consulting, including demonstrated expertise with public sector engagements.
• Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience required, certification desired.
• Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science).
• Certification(s) in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is desirable but not mandatory.
• Ability to engage, collaborate, influence, negotiate with customers, internal and external stakeholders, and vendors; adept at framing the problem, scoping the work, defining delivery processes, and developing key success measures.
• Ability to deepen business knowledge and build relationships that lead to participation in innovation activities and adoption of successful solutions.
• Skilled at building relationships across business units and corporate functions to influence process or policy changes.
• Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas in an engaging and easy to understand way.
• Ensure consideration of the holistic view of the initiative(s) including end-to-end business processes for implementation.
• Experience with agile project management methodology.
