This department is responsible for the cash management and analytics for all functions that comprise the cash cycle (A/R, Billing, Purchasing, Accounts Payable). Roles & Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, document and solution business operations issues Develop, build, and measure performance on operational metrics as part of the cash cycle with particular emphasis on driving insights to improve the efficiency of operations Create timelines and execution plans that implement process change across functions Develop process models and workflow diagrams to visualize current and future states Develop executive level briefings to keep senior Finance leadership apprised of metrics, process improvement and implementation outcomes Communicate process improvement recommendations across stakeholders through executive level presentations Review operations, diagnose problems and provide solutions to those problems functioning in many ways as a management consultant to the department and broader Finance Become an expert in the various systems used in Finance to help drive process improvements through technological expertise We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical principal Business Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a driver of process improvement helping to improve processes, systems and overall business operations performance. This role involves gathering and analyzing data, identifying business needs, troubleshooting problems, recommending solutions and communicating to stakeholders. This role will work hand-in-hand with the various business operations leaders to help optimize their businesses. Basic Qualifications: Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience in business analyst or management consulting with increasing responsibility with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience. Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills Ability to build, develop and narrate executive level presentations Excellent written and oral communication skills Proven analytical abilities with emphasis on developing metrics Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years working experience in Business Operations (accounting, payroll, treasury, A/R, A/P, etc.) MBA preferred CPA is a plus Project management experience Government contracting experience Dashboard software experience (Tableau, Power BI, etc) This requisition requires the candidate to have a minimum of the following clearance(s): None This requisition requires the hired candidate to have or obtain, within one year from the date of hire, the following clearance(s): None Work Location Type: Onsite MITRE is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
