Better Hire is hiring: Business System Analyst in Birmingham

Business Systems Analyst will approach tasks with a strong drive to master and see to completion in support of our IT Department in the following duties and responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Gather detailed business requirements to support business needs aligned.
• Configure systems to support business SOP’s and develop audits to ensure accuracy
• Contribute to and maintain system standards.
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
• Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
• Develop, analyze, prioritize, and execute on requirement specifications, data mapping, initial set-up for new customers/business within core business applications

Operations and Support:

• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Utilize routing software to support RFPs and other operational projects
• Create, change and delete user accounts per request.
• Provide Tier III/other support per request from various constituencies. Investigate and troubleshoot issues.

Maintenance:

• Maintain operational, configuration or other procedures.
• Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.
• Perform ongoing performance tuning to various software packages.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of systems administration, maintenance, and analysis experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a similar field or demonstrated job performance equivalent of educational requirements.
• The position must make accurate decisions at times with limited data available.
• Ability to interface with non-technical staff and provide technology solutions with minimal disturbance.
