Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Business Analyst to join our team, focusing on cost continuous optimization, forecasting and budgeting, and financial planning and analysis. In this role, you will leverage data analytics and financial modeling to drive efficiencies in our business operations, ensure accurate forecasting, and support overall financial planning initiatives.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Cost Optimization: Analyze business spend to identify trends, variances, and productivity opportunities.

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize spend, and monitor spend trends and best practices to ensure competitiveness.
  • Lead cost out initiatives, monitor the progress and report to senior leaderships on progress.

Product Profitability Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of product line performance, including sales trends, market share, and profitability metrics.

  • Utilize data analytics tools to create reports and dashboards that highlight key performance indicators.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management detailing product line performance and strategic recommendations.

Vendor Analysis Conduct thorough analysis of vendor performance metrics, including pricing, delivery, and quality.

  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing vendor analysis, insights, and recommendations for management, focusing on cost structures and potential savings.

Data Management: Maintain and enhance data integrity by leveraging databases and analytical tools.

  • Utilize data visualization tools to present findings and insights clearly to stakeholders for informed decision making.
  • Work closely with operations, procurement, and catalog teams to align strategies with business goals.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and projects as required.

Financial Planning and Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting processes, and forecast vs. actual comparison.

  • Identify improvement opportunities through data analysis and contribute to risk assessment and mitigation efforts.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, and provide actionable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent understanding of financial modeling and forecasting methodologies.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a strategic mindset and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to work with ambiguity in a dynamic business setting.
