We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team in San Francisco. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, with the ability to assess the quality and meaning of complex data sets. You will use statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends, providing valuable insights that support diagnosis and prediction. In this role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to understand their needs and deliver relevant data insights that drive business decisions. Ensuring accuracy in data analysis and recognizing anomalies or errors will be crucial to your success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough analysis to assess the quality and meaning of data, ensuring it meets the required standards for business use.
  • Utilize statistical tools and methodologies to analyze complex data sets, identifying patterns, trends, and insights that support diagnosis and prediction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data analysis, recognizing and addressing any anomalies or errors in data sets.
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively to stakeholders, translating complex data into clear and actionable recommendations.
  • Continuously monitor and improve data analysis processes, staying up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field; advanced degree will be preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and software (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and a keen eye for identifying anomalies in data.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
