A Business / Operations Analyst with our firm will work as a team member and be assigned to feasibility studies at one of our prospect or client locations. You will learn the needed skill sets and business analysis techniques required to be successful in our business. You will be responsible for building relationships and coordinating activities with both our USC feasibility study team, as well as with our prospects and clients. The position’s responsibilities are within the scope of analysis management, which focuses on understanding and mapping out process workflows across a variety of industries, in order to identify specific areas of improvement opportunity. Methods applied could be work task analyses, organizational structure review, span of control analyses, performance data mining and review of the effectiveness of the management operating systems, processes, and work disciplines. We work closely with our prospects and clients in a partnership to achieve measurable results in process flow, productivity improvement as well as performance management.
FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
This is a bilingual role within our analytical and business development department. Must be fluent with reading and writing in Spanish.
The ideal Business / Operations Analyst candidate has previous experience working for a consulting firm, functioning in an Analyst role. The Analyst can see waste when touring a facility or reviewing performance data and translate these into meaningful business opportunities, that drive tangible and measurable value for the prospect or client. The ideal candidate has previous experience as an Analyst with an implementation management consulting firm focusing on operational excellence. This individual can demonstrate:
• Experience across multiple industries and verticals, including experience working internationally.
• Possesses 10-15 years of experience in this specific role.
• Practical experience analyzing multiple work streams, the ability to identify all types of waste, associated non-value-added activities and their root cause(s).
• Practical experience converting identified waste into business opportunities and tangible, measurables financial benefits.
• "Street credibility" (i.e., understanding how the technical and tactical elements of large ticket “process improvement initiatives are sold”).
• Experience working in diverse industry segments, selling comprehensive MOS solutions into related environments, i.e.: product development, supply chain, and/or manufacturing, food processing, capital intensive and/or commodity-based operations.
• Strong understanding of front-end SI&OP, planning and scheduling methodologies, related supply chain, product development, and various production, manufacturing operations, asset management and logistics.
• Being adept verbally and with writing skills at clearly articulating issues, selling into new accounts, and possesses a demonstrated ability to develop, qualify, and close large, sometimes politically complex business opportunities, while handling objections seamlessly.
• The ability and willingness to learn, listen, understand, and continually improve his/her skills, without being told to do so.
• Being a team player, able to work effectively with others in structuring, selling and on occasion, supporting delivery of value-added services to top tier clients.
• Travel is dependent on study needs and client requests, but you can live anywhere in the continental U.S or Canada.
TECHNOLOGY EXPERIENCE:
- Advanced computer skills; including MS Office Suite, MS Project, Power BI, Tableau, Web conferencing, and CRM.
- Possessing a working knowledge of Current Business Technology Tools including SPC data analysis, and Power BI. Candidate is well versed in Business Techniques such as APM (Asset Performance Management), Lean Six-Sigma, Spend / Sourcing.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Possess a thorough understanding of all aspects of the Analysis process and Analysis tools utilized.
- Exceptional observation, analytical, numerical reasoning, business acumen and leadership skills
- Prior consulting experience preferred.
- Understanding of how technical and tactical elements of large ticket “process improvement initiatives” are sold.
- Excellent communication skills in Business English and Spanish (read, write, speak)
- Ability to balance delivery of results, problem solving, and client management.
- Superior time management skills and the ability to keep the analysis and preparations on schedule to meet critical deadlines.
- Strong ability to review, analyze and present large amounts of data within short time frames.
- Professional in appearance and conduct.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- An undergraduate business-related degree (advanced degree is a plus).
- Experienced in working diverse industry segments selling comprehensive MOS solutions into related product development, supply chain, and/or manufacturing operations.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
- Ability to work on international assignments.
- Have a valid driver’s license, and a Canadian or US Passport.
