Acentra is looking for a Sr Business Analyst to join our growing team.
Job Summary:
The purpose of this position is to provide clinical subject matter expertise in deploying and maintaining clinical solutions. This role will define the clinical requirements and work on implementations to deploy clinical solutions for case management, utilization management, and clinical assessments. The BA will analyze clinical and business problems, identify gaps, and develop technical solutions involving complex information systems under minimal supervision. This role involves managing requirement scope and serves as a bridge between information technology teams and the client through all project phases. This role is a member of the Business Analyst Team and reports directly to the Business Analysis Director.
Job Responsibilities:
Clinical subject matter expert for Acentra Health clinical solutions
Functions as an individual contributor and works under minimal supervision to develop and modify documentation related to complex projects and information systems.
Applies in-depth clinical and business analysis knowledge to review and analyze systems problems to identify solutions.
Develops and reviews detailed documentation of business requirements and systems functionality, use cases, workflow diagrams, and gap analysis to create and modify requirements documents and design specifications.
Analyzes user requirements and client business needs using standard procedures.
Identifies and manages scope of changes based on client requirements
Ensures bi-directional traceability of requirements
Tracks and reports status of work assignments
Prioritizes and schedules work assignments based on the project plan, handling multiple tasks across project phases
Facilitates solution development to existing business problems
Communicates issues and risks to manager or direct supervisor
Functions as a subject matter expert for multiple modules
Demonstrates strong knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies, best practices, and procedures; and applies them to projects to ensure that business analysis objectives are achieved
Balances multiple projects
Participates in requirements management and design session activities
Acts as a liaison between the client and the technology teams
Assists in supporting client presentations and demos (including navigating and facilitating the demo and presenting occasionally)
Possesses unwavering commitment to customer service and operational excellence
Keeps abreast of new technology and market developments (including federal regulations)
Requests and gives both negative and positive feedback
Provides guidance to less experienced business analysts, serving as a mentor to provide technical and business analysis guidance
Mentor junior Business Analyst staff to ensure compliance with best practices and techniques
Conducts knowledge transfer for junior Business Analyst staff on and provides training on new techniques and processes
Required Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent clinical background. Clinical degree required.
7 - 11 years of clinical business analysis experience or related experience
At least 3 years' experience in clinical operations including care management, utilization management, and clinical assessments
At least 3 years' experience in software or quality roles
Experience in the healthcare industry with a strong understanding of utilization management, care management, and population health management.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience:
Utilization Management experience and/or knowledge strongly preferred
Medicaid experience a huge plus
Experience in various roles including Clinical Reviewer, Care Manager, Supervisor/Manager of Clinical Operations preferred

Compensation
The pay range for this position is $85,920 - $107,400 per year.
